AZ Restaurant Week is Here!

There’s SO much going on this week between Restaurant Week, Oktoberfest (I was in Munich for it last year, what a great birthday!) and the usual round up of events. I cover it all below.

Arizona Restaurant Week runs September 19-28, with Scottsdale standouts offering special menus. New participants include Luna By Giada, EVO Old Town Scottsdale, La Fogata at The Scottsdale Resort & Spa, and Elvira's DC Ranch (mentioned as our date spot this week!)

It’s a great chance to try somewhere new or revisit a favorite spot that make dining out easier on the wallet. More restaurants are being added daily, so check the site for the latest lineup.

Golden Heart Senior Care Scottsdale is hosting a skill fair next week and figured I’d shed some light on it! There’s two different dates: 9/25 at 3:00 PM and 9/30 at 9:00 AM.

Just to name a few things they do, Golden Heart Senior Care covers personal care, light housekeeping, meal prep along with nutrition, companion care, medication reminders, respite care, transitional care, transportation & errands.

Upscale dining destination Catch is set to open at Scottsdale Fashion Square. Known for its seafood-focused menu and stylish atmosphere, the Catch Hospitality Group brings notable industry ties and a strong reputation to the Valley.

No opening date has been announced yet, but this will be one to watch for Scottsdale’s dining scene. Also, is it me or has Fashion Square been landing some great restaurants these past 6 months or so?!

Elvira’s just opened in DC Ranch and it’s already a great spot for date night. The restaurant has been family-owned since 1927, starting in Tubac, and now Chef Ruben Monroy (the founder’s grandson) is bringing those recipes to Scottsdale.

The menu feels both traditional and special, with dishes like mole, squash blossom quesadillas, and chile rellenos that taste like they’ve been perfected over generations.

What I like most is how relaxed it feels. You can take your time over dinner with a margarita or a glass of wine, and it never feels rushed. Perfect for a night when you want something a little more memorable than the usual dinner out.
