SCOTTSDALE SNAPSHOT

Strad Pizza is now open

Popular YouTuber Open’s a Pizza Spot

Popular YouTuber James “The Stradman” is shifting gears from supercars to slices with his new opening of Strad Pizza in Scottsdale. Teaming up with hospitality pro Freddy Nguyen, Stradman is bringing his love for New York-style pizza to the Valley.

The spot features a sleek, neon-lit interior, a garage-style door for indoor-outdoor vibes, and a massive mural showcasing Stradman’s iconic blue Koenigsegg and pink Lamborghini, painted by artist Jack Soren.

The menu offers 20-inch pies and by-the-slice options, along with creative pizza knots like Parmesan Truffle and Cinnamon Toast Crunch.

They just opened at 13802 N Scottsdale Rd, Suite 165. Check it out and let them know Scottsdale Scoop sent you 😉

Buck & Rider’s New Restaurant In The Works

A new Mediterranean dining experience is coming to Old Town this fall. The team behind Buck & Rider (and Ingo’s) is set to open Pinyon, a restaurant named after the pinyon trees native to both the Mediterranean and the Southwest. Personally, Buck & Rider is my favorite restaurant here and can not wait to see what they do!

While specific menu details are still under wraps, Pinyon aims to offer an authentic Mediterranean experience, blending regional flavors with the team’s signature approach to hospitality.

I’ll keep an eye out for more updates as the opening date approaches. Given the quality of Buck & Rider, Pinyon should be a great addition to our already stellar dining scene.

SPONSORED BY THE CACTUS CLUB

Hi Scottsdale, came across a great golf newsletter specifically for AZ and wanted to share it with you!

The Cactus Club is the newsletter for Arizona golfers who take their game (but not themselves) seriously.

Written by a former GCU player, Terence Daniels, it’s packed with local turf wars, spicy takes, and exclusive events across the Valley.

1. It’s like your golf group chat if it went to journalism school.

2. Weekly drops are always free.

3. Desert golf deserves its voice. This is it.

BUSINESS BUZZ

Healthiest Meal Prep I’ve Seen

10411 E. McDowell Mountain Ranch Rd, Suite 120

Sapiens Paleo Kitchen in Scottsdale is awesome if you’re on a health kick. This chef-owned restaurant offers a 100% Paleo menu, free from gluten, dairy, soy, and processed sugars, catering to various dietary preferences including Keto, AIP, and Vegan. Also a HUGE bonus that they don’t cook with seed oils.

Chef Aurore de Beauduy and her husband, Roman Yasinsky, bring a unique perspective to healthy dining, inspired by their personal health journeys and experiences with indigenous diets in the Amazon. Their commitment to using high-quality, locally sourced ingredients results in dishes that are both healthy and full of flavor.

The menu features standout items like a veal and Kobe beef meatloaf, duck dishes, and innovative desserts such as monk fruit-sweetened chocolates and dairy-free ice creams made with purple yam. For those seeking convenient healthy meals, Sapiens also offers ready-to-eat meal prep services at $12.99 per meal. Seriously a steal considering the no seed oils thing I mentioned above (it’s a big deal to me haha).

Sapiens Paleo Kitchen is open Wednesday through Saturday from 5 PM to 9 PM. Reservations can be made through their website.

Awesome Little Date Spot

I’m still kind of playing with the format of the newsletter and like adding in a “date spot of the week” and this hidden gem is perfect for that.

The House Brasserie in Old Town is relatively unknown and super charming. Set in one of the area’s oldest homes, this restaurant offers a cozy yet refined atmosphere, perfect for date nights or any special occasion. I really love that they kept the setting just like a home.

The menu features contemporary American dishes with French influences, crafted with seasonal ingredients. Whether you’re dining indoors or on the tree-shaded patio, they House Brasserie provides a memorable experience in the heart of Scottsdale.

PS - feel free to respond to this email and let me know if the “date spot of the week” is a good section to add!

Nothing in this section is sponsored. They're just local businesses I wanted to highlight. I'll always let you know when something's sponsored.
