Good morning, Scottsdale. You’re reading Scottsdale Scoop, your insider pass to what’s fun, fresh, and worth checking out around town. Every issue features hand-picked events, local business spotlights, and hidden gems that make our city great.
Feels like I’ve been traveling non-stop lately. Currently writing this from NYC. I had a few days rest then had to fly out again 😵💫.
Covering a few fun events for October plus other fun news. Let’s get it!
SCOTTSDALE SNAPSHOT
Spook-Track-Ula Returns to Railroad Park

Halloween season is officially here and McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park is kicking off its annual Spook-Track-Ula Halloween adventure starting October 7, 2026. Families can hop aboard the Paradise & Pacific Railroad for a spooky train ride along with carousel rides, a haunted walkthrough and storybook train adventures. Tickets are $15 per person. Figure I'd share since it's a fun family option.
JL Patisserie Teams Up With The Global Ambassador

Technically Phoenix…but close enough. If you're looking for a sweet treat this week The Global Ambassador is hosting a limited-time collaboration with JL Patisserie at Le Market from October 7 through October 11 between 6:00 AM and 4:00 PM. Created together by Sam Fox and Jenna Leurquin, you'll find two exclusive raspberry-almond creations alongside a selection of JL Patisserie favorites. Proceeds benefit Girls Who Bake and its mission to inspire the next generation of young girls through the art of baking. Worth stopping by if you're in the neighborhood.
The Lakefront at Scottsdale Officially Breaks Ground

Scottsdale developer Diversified Partners broke ground on October 2 on The Lakefront at Scottsdale, a roughly 100,000-square-foot redevelopment planned for dining, retail, Class A office space and gathering areas. Announced tenants include SUSHISAMBA, La La Land and V Modern Italian with an anticipated opening in 2027. Demolition is scheduled to begin in early October with larger construction planned for early 2027. I'm curious to see what takes shape here as work gets underway.
TOGETHER WITH CITY OF SCOTTSDALE PARKS & REC
Free Fall Fun Is Coming to Scottsdale Oct. 17th
Scottsdale's favorite fall night is almost here. The City of Scottsdale Parks & Rec Fall Festival kicks off Saturday, October 17 at 5 PM. Did I mention it’s free?!
Bring the whole crew for a live band and DJ, local food trucks and a cocktail garden for the grown ups. Kids can trick or treat, play carnival games and dig into hands on arts and crafts. You'll also find booths from City of Scottsdale departments with community info.
Grab the family, come hungry and celebrate fall with your neighbors.
Get the festival details here.

LOCAL BUSINESS OF THE WEEK
Proof Bread

Proof Bread is your neighborhood sourdough bakery built for people who care about real ingredients and real vibes.
There are no additives or shortcuts, just bread and pastries that taste amazing and make you feel good. They're big on sustainability and transparency while sharing their craft through behind the scenes content that shows the heart of what they do. If you're into supporting local and eating intentionally this is for you.
DATE SPOT OF THE WEEK
La Cocina

If you're in North Scottsdale for dinner, La Cocina is a cozy spot that makes for an easy date night. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming with a little bit of Southern California energy right in the Safeway shopping center.
One thing I love is that they never use seed oils in their food so everything's made with real ingredients. You can share some ceviche or sizzling fajitas and grab an outstanding watermelon margarita to toast the evening.
Worth checking out for your next date night!
TOGETHER WITH QUANTUM RED
Why I Use Quantum Red for Daily Recovery

I've been using Quantum Red personally for a while and it's easily become part of my routine. The absolute best part is the convenience of never having to set an appointment. You're never tied to a schedule because their membership studios are entirely self-serve and unstaffed.
Their memberships give you virtual access to both locations including 24/7 access to their Central Scottsdale location. You get full body red light therapy sessions that take just 10 minutes alongside infrared saunas when you want to focus on skin health recovery or sleep optimization.
