There's a ton going on this weekend like waterfront art festivals, a local community charity, an indoor golf date spot and upcoming events for the week. Let's get into it.

Who's the best in Scottsdale? Let's hear it from the people who live here. Best of Scottsdale 2027 Jewels of the Desert, is our community awards contest celebrating the local businesses you love. That restaurant you tell everyone about? The business you keep going back to? Give them their moment. Nominate your favorites across 17 categories by 11/22.

Breaking down how it all works here. It starts with your nominations throughout 11/22, then the finalists go to a public vote in December (which I’ll announce). Winners will be announced in February at our awards ceremony at DOLCE Events. This family owned Scottsdale venue and catering company hosts everything from weddings to corporate events in a modern, customizable space. I was looking at upcoming events and saw that Canal Convergence is kicking off this weekend at the Scottsdale Waterfront. It's the 15th year for the free ten-night public art event and this year's theme is Western Nature. You'll find large-scale light-based installations, nightly fire shows, live music and family-friendly workshops running through November 15. It's an awesome event if you want to spend an evening walking along the canal.

I recently came across the lineup for the Kierland Fine Art and Wine Festival happening this Saturday and Sunday at Kierland Commons. Admission is free and you can explore works from more than 100 local and national artists while listening to live music. If you want to taste some local pours they're featuring a Willcox Wine Country experience with ten wine tastings and a commemorative glass. Put it on your radar if you're looking for weekend plans.

I was doing some digging on weekend festivals and saw that the Italian Association of Arizona is hosting its 11th annual Italian Festival this Saturday and Sunday at the Scottsdale Civic Center. World-renowned singer Ripalta Bufo is headlining the event after making her mark as a finalist on Italia's Got Talent. She's showcasing her talent in Arizona after recording her new album titled From Italy with Love. It's a great spot to grab some food and enjoy live performances this weekend.

I recently found out about Partners for Paiute and I've been really impressed by the work they're doing here in town. They've been serving Scottsdale since 1995 as an all-volunteer Arizona Qualified Charitable Tax organization providing funding and resources for community needs.
