La La Land Kind Cafe Headed to The Lakefront
More developments for The Lakefront which I covered last week. Popular coffee chain La La Land Kind Cafe is expanding with a new location at the waterfront redevelopment The Lakefront at Scottsdale at 7501 E. McCormick Parkway.
PS - A groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for September 24 as part of the property renovation. Put it on your radar!
Los Milics Vineyards Opens Expanded Tasting Room
Los Milics Vineyards has officially opened its expanded tasting room in Old Town Scottsdale at 7045 E. Third Ave. The 2800 square foot venue features dual street facing patios and an open kitchen. They also serve a food menu highlighting hand-pulled mozzarella. Worth checking out for your next wine night!
General Admission Taking Over Former RnR Site
Los Angeles based sports gastropub brand General Admission is planning to open its doors this fall at 3737 N. Scottsdale Road. They are taking over the two story building that formerly housed RnR Gastropub. Founded by brothers Kamran and Kourosh Pourkazemi, the new venue features sports viewing and a long bar. It also includes a street facing patio overlooking Scottsdale Road. Figure I'd share.

TeaTime
TeaTime is a great spot that is reflective of the spirit of Old Town. They’re first and foremost a tea shop offering premium loose tea and teas-to-go alongside a unique full tea service program.
They don't have a conventional kitchen so they partner with several local bakeries and vendors to create their food menu. Because of this they require reservations with two days advance notice and full payment ahead of time. It's worth checking out if you're looking to pick up an afternoon tea box or take a tea class.

DATE SPOT OF THE WEEK
Wayward
If you're looking for a nice, relaxed date spot in Old Town, Wayward is great. The space feels like a mix between a speakeasy and an elevated western saloon with moody lighting and rich textures that set the tone for a relaxed evening. Head Chef CJ Kahley and hospitality veteran Kyla Hein run the kitchen and bar program, giving the place a distinct identity.
The restaurant is open Tuesday through Sunday starting at 4pm with Sunday service opening at 2pm. The menu focuses on global flavors designed for sharing and the taco board is great to share if you're dining with someone special. The short rib taco board for 2 is affordable and perfect for a date!
