I know you’re not used to getting an email on Monday but it’s my birthday (woo!) and I’ve been thinking about rolling out a Monday issue for a while now. I've noticed a couple new spots opening up across Scottsdale lately. Cafe Collibri is now open on Hayden Road serving specialty pistachio and crème brûlée lattes. Over on 79th Street Hef's Haus is serving gourmet breakfast toasts!

There's plenty of free entertainment coming up this season. The Scottsdale Quarter annual Fall Concert Series kicks off on September 26 with seven weeks of free live music in The Quad featuring rock, jazz, yacht rock and country acts like The PiPES. Later in the season Scottsdale Arts brings back Canal Convergence to the Scottsdale Waterfront from November 6 to 15 with public art and live music.

If you're looking for a reason to try somewhere new Arizona Restaurant Week is running right now through September 27. You'll find participating Scottsdale spots offering special menus including Virtu Honest Craft, Nobu Scottsdale and Toca Madera. It's a solid time to check out a spot you haven't visited yet.

Mara Levin is bringing a more personal way to shop to Old Town this October. Her new boutique, Marea, will offer a thoughtful mix of contemporary apparel, resort wear, occasion pieces, accessories and select home accents at 4242 N. Craftsman Court.

Mara's background spans beauty marketing at The Estée Lauder Companies, interior design and fashion retail. Marea will pair a carefully chosen collection with personal styling and honest wardrobe guidance so every visit feels warm, easy and entirely your own.

If you're looking for a sleek spot on the Scottsdale Quarter side of town, it's worth checking out the daily happy hour at JING Scottsdale from 3 to 6 PM.

They serve up $7 edamame and Wagyu bao sliders alongside $19 rock shrimp tempura and tuna pizza. You can also grab $12 martinis and jalapeño margaritas with wine starting at $10 and beer from $6, all great happy hour prices for Scottsdale.

I'm kicking off a brand new section for our Monday issues where I'll cover a cool wellness event happening around town each week. If you're looking to sweat for a good cause this weekend, you'll want to put this on your radar.

Sculptember is taking over Club Scottsdale on Saturday, September 26 from 10 AM to 12 PM. It's a high-energy mat Pilates flow led by Ash with live beats from DJ TPHAM.
