In today’s Scottsdale Scoop we’re going to cover another restaraunt being added to the Fox Restaurant Concepts portfolio, a fun grand opening to hit this weekend as well as our first community event.

Sam Fox to Open Society Swan at Scottsdale Fashion Square
Renowned Arizona restaurateur Sam Fox of Fox Restaurant Concepts(Culinary Dropout, Flower Child, Olive & Ivy, The Henry and others) has announced plans to open Society Swan at a prime location in Scottsdale Fashion Square.
This new concept adds to Fox Restaurant Concepts' impressive portfolio that includes local favorites across the Valley. Fashion Square shoppers will soon have another exceptional dining option from one of our most successful culinary entrepreneurs. They’re eyeing October, but no opening date has been announced yet. We can expect the same attention to detail and quality that Fox venues are known for.
Golf Simulator’s Grand Opening This Weekend
XGolf in Scottsdale is having their grand opening this weekend on Saturday, 9/13 and it looks like it’s going to be a fun event! They’re running an all day long drive and near pin competitions. Also, starting around 4:00 PM they’ll have different beverage reps and business owners giving away prizes as well as a grand prize raffle!
If you’re not familiar wit XGolf, they’re a venue with 7 different golf simulators, TV’s playing sports as well as food and drinks. I’ll likely cover them as a date spot in the future. If I wasn’t going to the ASU game I’d be there!
Scottsdale Scoop Happy Hour in 2 Weeks
The countdown has officially begun! We’re two weeks away from our very first, in-person happy hour on 9/25 and I’d love for everyone to join us! It’s going to be casual, social, and a good excuse to get off the couch and meet your fellow Scottsdale neighbors. Figured I’d share here but I was just in a commercial for Gila River Casino! Outside of writing content for Scottsdale Scoop, I like to act in film, TV and commercials. We filmed this a while ago and it was great to see it air during last weeks Thursday night football game.

Tucked away in a quiet plaza in North Scottsdale, Mamma Lucy offers an intimate dining experience that feels like being welcomed into an Italian family's home. It’s a daughter/father duo that runs the show and it makes the spot that much better!
The warm, rustic atmosphere and hand-painted murals transport you straight to the Italian countryside, while the aroma of authentic recipes passed down through generations fills the air.
Appetizers we had were all amazing, including the antipasto board, the meatballs and the bruschetta. We all got a round of Carbnonara and y buddy is a self-acclaimed “Carbonara Expert” that shared their carbonara was some of the best he’s had. I’ll trust it because I thought the same.
