SCOTTSDALE SNAPSHOT
Sexy Roman in the W is Now Open!

I dig the setting
Hold onto your pasta forks, Scottsdale! Sexy Roman just opened yesterday inside the W. I have to give a shoutout to their branding! Sleek and sexy.
After a year-long transformation, this Italian restaurant is leading with a Raw Bar with Ahi Tuna Crudo, and handmade pastas. But here's where it gets fun, they have a custom-made roaming cocktail cart that guests summon using a hidden button on their tables. I’ve never seen that before and it sounds like it’ll add to the fun!
James Beard-nominated Chef Jason Franey is heading the kitchen , bringing the same energy from his success with Flint int he Biltmore. The menu highlights include Leek Agnolotti with ricotta and black truffle, and Burrata-Stuffed Tortellini nestled in a rich short rib ragù.
The space sounds like they put a ton of effort into making even the visuals stand out. Hand-troweled plaster walls, a glowing wine room with 760 bottles, and olive wood booths with built-in ice buckets.
They're open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner! Keep in mind they do have a “date night” dress code. The site wasn’t really specific but I imagine it’d be similar to Steak4 4 or Maple & Ash’s policies with no hats/shorts but don’t quote me on that.
June Days is Underway in Old Town

Old Town Scottsdale just kicked off June Days, and it's basically a month-long excuse to feel good about living here.
This celebration features over 100 activities ranging from morning yoga and craft workshops to wine tastings and Scottsdale Stadium tours. See full event list here.
Activities include paint and sip nights, brewery crawls, outdoor movie screenings under the stars, and even a Tournament of Treats where you vote for your favorite frozen dessert spot. It's designed to support our local businesses during the quieter summer months, which honestly makes it even better. Let’s get out there and show some support!
SPONSORED BY QUANTUM RED

If you haven’t tried red light therapy yet, Quantum Red is the perfect place to start.
Their sessions use red and near-infrared light to gently stimulate your cells, supporting everything from skin repair and hormone balance to deeper sleep and reduced inflammation.
It’s a simple, natural way to bring healing light back into your daily routine (especially if you spend most of your day indoors). I left feeling lighter, clearer, and noticeably more energized. Quantum Red provides a safe and effective way to reintroduce red + near infrared light back into your wellness routine to aid the body's innate self-healing ability for incredible anti-aging results.

DATE SPOT OF THE WEEK
Trevor’s Liquor

A liquor store for date night? Hear me out. Located in the Scottsdale 101 Shopping Center at 7000 East Mayo Boulevard, Trevor's somehow crammed a liquor store, wood-fired pizza kitchen, golf simulators, and cigar lounge into one space and made it work great.
Chef Parker Rosbrook's brick oven pizzas earned an 8.3 from Barstool Sports' Dave Portnoy, officially making it the best pizza in Scottsdale.
Nothing says "impressive first date" like virtually playing Pebble Beach while sharing a wood-fired pepperoni pizza, then moving to the plush leather cigar lounge with Persian-style rugs if things go well.
Golf bays are $40/hour off-peak (Sunday-Thursday, 9:30am-3:30pm) or $75/hour peak times, and you can grab any bottle from their retail selection to enjoy at your table.
Where else can you go from golf simulator to pizza to cigars without leaving the building?

LOCAL BUSINESS OF THE WEEK
Chin Up Donuts

Chin Up has two locations - one in North Scottsdale and one in Old Town
Let's talk about Chin Up Donuts because we need more businesses like this in Scottsdale. This woman-owned donut shop is on a mission to "spread positivity with rings of dough," and after one bite of their scratch-made brioche donuts, you'll understand why their slogan is so spot-on. Shout out to Owner and “Chief Donut Officer”, Alex McEntire.
These aren't your typical glazed donuts from a chai. We're talking rich, buttery brioche that's more like a delightful bread than your standard sugar bomb. They use real butter, real milk, and real eggs with zero preservatives or mixes, because apparently they believe real ingredients taste better (revolutionary concept, right?). Their flavors pull inspiration from travels around the globe plus local Arizona ingredients, so you never know what creative combination they'll dream up next.
Plus, they're part of the June Days festivities, providing sweet treats for the "Stories & Sweets" events, which feels perfectly on-brand for a business dedicated to spreading joy.
