Happy Halloween! There’s a ton of events and deals going on.

You’re probably thinking “why is this coming on Monday instead of our usual newsletter send day of Wednesday?” In short, I’m testing out adding in a Monday send with a few different sections like a “Happy Hour/Deal of the Week.” Wednesday’s newsletter issue will be unchanged.

If you've been walking by JL Patisserie and wondering what the buzz is about, they're delivering high-end French pastries that bring European technique right to Scottsdale. Def worth trying!

What really sets them apart is their commitment to teaching the craft too. They offer both in-person and online baking classes where you can learn the techniques behind those gorgeous croissants and delicate macarons you see in their display case. There's something really special about a business that doesn't just serve great food but actually shares the knowledge and passion behind it.

Right now they're gearing up for Halloween with special seasonal treats, and if you're thinking ahead (which I always recommend!), their Thanksgiving pre-orders are already open.

Pinyon opens Wednesday, October 29th right along the park in Old Town at 7363 East Scottsdale Mall, bringing the coastal food culture of the Mediterranean to our neighborhood.

This new concept celebrates simple, extraordinary flavors with house-made breads fresh from the oven, seafood grilled over open flames, and seasonal vegetables prepared with that Mediterranean approach that brings people together. The whole vibe is inspired by journeys through Mediterranean coastal villages, creating what they describe as "a lively gathering place for flavor, tradition, and community."

The location is positioned right along the park in true European style, perfect for people-watching and soaking up that Old Town energy. They're taking priority seating reservations but also welcome walk-ins, so you've got options whether you're a planner or prefer to be spontaneous.

I launched our first Dinner Club last week, collected the feedback and made some improvements to the groups/structure. Thank you for sharing the feedback!

The second Dinner Club will take plus on November 19th. If you want to join, just take a quick personality quiz, and we'll match you with 5 compatible strangers for dinner at a local favorite Scottsdale spot that won't break the bank. We handle everything—restaurant selection, reservations, dietary preferences—you just show up.

The Museum of Illusions is doing “trick-or-treating” starting today and running through Friday! Kids can collect treats at the exhibits which is a fun way to start Halloween a bit early!

There’s also “spooky” (kid friendly) exhibits like Head on a Plate, the Ames Room, and the Vortex Tunnel. Just saw this and wanted to share with you all!

This is an entirely new section based on last weeks poll. I got a ton of feedback from you all on wanting me to include a deal/happy hour of the week so here it is!

Dodo Bird Scottsdale has a lot of awesome deals every day of the week, and my absolute favorite is their “Steak Out Mondays.” Every Monday, they have a $20 steak and fries deal that is too good to pass up. You can order additional sides or just stick with the steak which is a great size for the price! If you’re feeling fancy you can even upgrade it to a Tomahawk that is amazing. The steak comes with a chimichurri sauce and it’s 🤌🏽

Dodo Bird is located right on Thomas & Hayden and this deal starts at 3PM today! If you’re after great value at a neighborhood staple, this one’s an easy pick.
