Good morning, Scottsdale. You’re reading Scottsdale Scoop, your insider pass to what’s fun, fresh, and worth checking out around town. Every issue features hand-picked events, local business spotlights, and hidden gems that make our city great.

The event we had last week with North Italia went amazing. Thank you, everyone, who came out!

We have another great weekend ahead of us with the Tour de Scottsdale, Musuem of the West debuting a brand new expansion and the Be Well event at Fairmont Scottsdale Princess that I covered earlier! I’ll personally be at Be Well if anyone wants to say hi.

SCOTTSDALE SNAPSHOT

Pupchella Returns to Scottsdale Resort April 9th

Calling all dog parents! Pupchella 2026 is back at The Scottsdale Resort and Spa on April 9th from 6-8pm for the most paw-some festival of the year (I had to lol).

Think Coachella vibes but for you and your four-legged bestie. There's a live DJ, complimentary hot chocolate, a taco bar with full food and drink menu, plus special dog-friendly snacks and treats. Your pup gets social play zones, a 1-2 mile walk experience, and plenty of tail-wagging moments while you enjoy open pickleball play and chill lounge vibes.

This is such a fun way to spend an evening with your furry friend!

Museum of the West Unveils $12M Expansion This Week

Big news for art and history buffs! Western Spirit: Scottsdale's Museum of the West is debuting a brand new $12 million wing starting Tuesday, and it's a must-see for anyone who loves our Western heritage.

The Louis Sands IV Center adds 12,000 square feet and four new galleries to the museum's footprint. The weeklong celebration kicks off with an official unveiling Tuesday, museum members get exclusive access Friday, and then Saturday is a free Opening Day Celebration for everyone with music, demonstrations and gallery programs. Reserve your free pass in advance if you want to skip the line!

The new galleries launch with four exhibitions including "Working Pardners: Masterworks from the Eddie Basha Collection," which features one of the region's most notable private collections of Western and Indigenous art. Pretty cool stuff for "The West's Most Western Town."

Tour de Scottsdale Returns This Weekend

Dust off those bikes! The HonorHealth Tour de Scottsdale rolls into WestWorld on March 28th with challenging and scenic courses through North Scottsdale's beautiful desert landscape.

Choose your adventure with either the Metric Century (62 miles) or Half Metric Century (32 miles). Both routes start and finish at WestWorld, which means plenty of parking, an expo, and a post-ride celebration waiting for you. Pro cyclists can also check out the inaugural Tour de Scottsdale Crit happening Friday, March 27th at WestWorld.

Bonus for cycling enthusiasts: the Tour de Scottsdale Prologue lets you learn from and ride with cycling legends including Tour de France greats Bobby Julich and Frankie Andreu plus World Champion Leanda Cave.

TOGETHER WITH LOTUS EVOLUTIONS WELLNESS

Try EmSculpt at Their Demo Night + Wellness Social (Free Event!)

Lotus Evolutions Wellness is hosting an EmSculpt Demo Night & Wellness Social on Thursday, April 2nd from 4–6PM, and if you’ve ever been curious about body sculpting technology, this is your chance to test it out in a super relaxed setting.

When I tried EmSculpt at one of their previous demo days, I felt like I had just finished an intense ab workout. It contracts your muscles for you and you can feel it working. They can target different areas too, not just abs.

What I love about Chad and Keri, the local owners behind Lotus Wellness Evolutions, is that they’re all about long-term wellness. Their focus is on muscle tone, posture, and supporting your body as you age. They’ve even come out to a few Scottsdale Scoop events, so there’s a good chance you’ve already met them if you’ve been to one. They’re the real deal and genuinely care about helping people feel confident and healthy.

During the event at their Old Town location, you’ll be able to:

• Experience live EmSculpt demos and learn how it works
• Sip on specialty wellness mocktails
• Check out their natural, non-toxic fragrance station
• Enjoy light bites and connect with other wellness-minded locals

It’s free to attend, but space is limited so I’d grab a spot sooner than later.

LOCAL BUSINESS OF THE WEEK

RODRI Heating & Cooling

This one isn't a paid ad. I've just worked with Justin, who owns RODRI Heating & Cooling, so many times now for my rental property in Tempe that I figured he deserved a little love.

Every single time I've called him, he shows up on time, gives me honest answers about what's actually wrong, and keeps his pricing fair. No surprise charges, no upselling me on stuff I don't need. Just solid work from a good person who clearly cares about doing things right.

I've had a few HVAC emergencies pop up specifically on weekends, and Justin has shown up every time. If you've ever tried getting someone out on a Saturday or Sunday when your AC dies in the Summer, you know that's worth its weight in gold.

I have this platform, might as well use it to highlight people who genuinely deserve it. Justin's one of those people.

DATE SPOT OF THE WEEK

Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurants

If you're looking for a chill date spot Cooper's Hawk in North Scottsdale is worth checking out.

It's part winery, part restaurant, and they've got this Wine O'Clock happy hour where cocktails and wines by the glass are just $8. Small bites start at $10 if you're feeling snacky. The vibe is relaxed for a winery and you can pop in for a guided tasting without a reservation.

What I like about this spot is it works for pretty much any stage of dating. First date? Grab a tasting and see if you have chemistry. Established couple? Split some small plates and try a new wine together. It's low pressure but still feels like you put in some effort.

They're open for brunch too if you're more of a day-date person. No judgment on the mimosas!
