Good morning, Scottsdale. You’re reading Scottsdale Scoop, your insider pass to what’s fun, fresh, and worth checking out around town. Every issue features hand-picked events, local business spotlights, and hidden gems that make our city great.

Scottsdale Scoop just hit 9,000 subscribers! We’re growing by about 1,000 new subscribers per month with a 64% open rate and 11% click-through rate.

We're already booked with partners through October, and now I’m lining up annual partners for 2026.

Every month we also host events to bring together our community. It is a unique way for partners to connect directly with our audience both online and in person.

Annual sponsorship spots are limited, with category exclusivity available so now’s the time to get involved.

Ok, enough business talk, let’s get into all the fun stuff happening this week.

SCOTTSDALE SNAPSHOT

Movie Night at Scottsdale Airport Returns

Pack your lawn chairs and head to Scottsdale Airport on Saturday, November 8 for the fourth annual open-air movie night featuring the holiday classic Home Alone.

This free community event transforms the airport into an outdoor theater with food trucks, a beer and wine garden, static plane displays, and fire truck presentations. Gates open at 5 p.m. and the movie starts at 6 p.m.

Admission is free, but guests are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food donation for Vista del Camino food bank (love that initiative). Parking is available across from the main aviation building, though rideshares are recommended. Leave pets and outside food or drinks at home for this aviation-themed evening under the stars.

I don’t think you have to register or get tickets for the event. Based on what I see, you just show up and have fun!

Arizona's Iconic Taco Festival Returns Next Week!

Taco Fest AZ — named “Best Culinary Event” by Arizona Foothills — takes over Salt River Fields next weekend, October 18-19 with two full days dedicated to tacos, tequila, and good times. I personally love this event and try to go every year!

More than 40 restaurants, food trucks, and vendors will serve every kind of taco imaginable alongside $10 Tequila Corrido margaritas. Expect Lucha Libre wrestling shows, a huge kids zone (children 12 and under get in free), and the VIP Agave Show featuring 20+ tequila and mezcal brands. The Que Suave pop-up adds lowriders, DJs, dancing, tattoos, and a taco eating contest each day at 4 p.m.

Tickets are online-only and prices increase on event day, so buy early. Every vendor will have at least one taco priced at $4 or less.

Dreamy Draw Music Festival Returns Bigger Than Ever

Get ready for a desert party that's doubled in size. Dreamy Draw Music Festival returns to Scottsdale Civic Center November 7-8 with headliners The Lumineers, Vampire Weekend, Father John Misty and more taking over multiple city blocks.

What began as an intimate festival has grown into a major event, with daily attendance jumping from 8,000 to 20,000. Beyond the music, you'll find large-scale art installations, artisan vendors, and Southwest-inspired food and drinks. New premium experiences include Artist Passes with side-stage viewing and Cabanas featuring private lounges and full-service bars.

Tickets range from $90 for single-day GA to $700 for the full Artist weekend experience. A portion of proceeds supports Scottsdale Arts community programming.

New Golf Resort Coming to Troon North

Scottsdale’s reputation as a premier golf destination gets another nod with the upcoming Scottsdale Golf Retreat at Troon North, set to open in early 2026.

This suites-only resort will be managed by Troon, one of the biggest names in golf management, and will sit near the renowned Troon North Golf Club. The property promises luxury accommodations and upscale amenities for golf lovers looking to experience Scottsdale’s best courses in style.

There’s still not a ton of info I could find so I’ll have to keep my eyes peeled for when more details drop.

TOGETHER WITH REVLABS

Look, I get it. You started your business to serve customers, not to figure out why your competitor shows up on Google when someone searches for what YOU do.

Revlabs fixes that. They're a local SEO agency that specializes in one thing: getting your business in front of people who are actively searching for your services right now in Scottsdale.

When someone Googles "best [your service] near me," where do you show up? If it's not in the top 3 results, you’ll never be seen. Those are customers with their wallets out, ready to buy, and they're finding your competition instead.

Revlabs works with local Scottsdale businesses to:

  • Dominate local Google searches so you're the first call customers make

  • Turn your Google Business Profile into a customer-generating machine

  • Get you real reviews from real customers (the kind that actually drive sales)

  • Make sure when someone searches for your service, they find YOU

No fluff. No "SEO strategy sessions" that go nowhere. Just more customers walking through your doors or calling your phone.

Ready to stop losing customers to competitors and land customers actively looking for businesses like yours?

LOCAL BUSINESS OF THE WEEK

Cluville Kids Escape Room

This week’s the perfect week to drop a business for the whole family. If you’ve got kids who love a challenge, Cluville Kids Escape Room is the kind of spot that turns an ordinary afternoon into a full-blown adventure. It’s built for younger detectives, with themed rooms that mix puzzles, hidden clues, and teamwork to keep everyone laughing and thinking.

It’s screen-free fun that still brings in a bit of learning. The games are designed to focus on problem-solving and collaboration, making it a great pick for family outings, playdates, or even school field trips.

I also think this spot would be perfect for a birthday party!

DATE SPOT OF THE WEEK

BATL Grounds

Figured now is a good time to mix it up with something different than dinner and drinks! BATL Grounds in the Indian River Plaza is a fun way to have a date with up with some friendly competition.

They offer axe, knife, and archery throwing, and the coaches make it easy for beginners to get the hang of it. You can book a lane for an hour or more, and some experiences include a drink with your session. Just make sure to reserve at least three days ahead.

BATL has a licensed bar with local craft beers and a food menu through R.T. O’Sullivan’s Sports Grill. You can even bring your own food if you want. Their setup makes it easy to throw, eat, and hang out all in one spot.

If you’re looking for a date that’s a little different and full of laughs, this one’s worth trying.

THE GOOD LIFE

10040 E Happy Valley Road, 2046 Scottsdale AZ, 85255

I love this one. Amazing views of Pinnacle Peak, a beautiful, custom 1,600 bottle wine room and a golf membership that’s active immediately! They did a great job of keeping the mountain views visible from the owner’s suite.
