SCOTTSDALE SNAPSHOT

SHIV Supper Club’s Grand Opening is Today!

SHIV is opening their doors tonight at 7373 E. Camelback Rd

Scottsdale’s first fine-dining supper club, SHIV Supper Club, officially opens its doors tonight at 7373 E. Camelback Rd. Brought to life by Riot Hospitality Group, this nearly 14,000-square-foot venue blends upscale dining with immersive entertainment, offering a unique experience in the Valley.

I’m personally hyped for this! I didn’t even know what a supper club was and had to ask my buddy. He described it as a cross between a restaurant and a live show you’d see in Vegas.

The menu, crafted by Culinary Director Dustin Cooke in collaboration with Michelin-starred Chef Jeff Mahin, features standout dishes like tableside Truffle Butter Bread Service, Lobster Caviar Dome, and a big, juicy Tomahawk steak. Complementing the cuisine is an innovative cocktail program and a dedicated Dessert Room, available on Fridays and Saturdays from 10 p.m., offering avant-garde desserts and champagne in a sophisticated late-night setting.

If you plan on going I’d highly recommend getting a reservation. I imagine it’s going to be packed for a while.

The REMI Hotel Debuts This June

Scottsdale’s Entertainment District is about to welcome a bold new addition: The REMI Scottsdale, Autograph Collection, opening next month. This boutique hotel is designed for “sensory seekers” and “social explorers,” blending high-style hospitality with fun experiences in the heart of the city’s nightlife and dining scene.

The REMI will feature 161 rooms, including two Loft Suites with private patios that open directly onto the pool deck. Guests can expect elevated amenities like VIP access to Maya Day + Nightclub, Côte Beauty products, and curated postcards to commemorate their stay (love the postcard idea).

Culinary offerings include:

  • Kauboi: A Japanese steakhouse with robata-grilled dishes, sushi, and an elite Japanese whisky collection.

  • F/Sixteen: A modern diner serving nostalgic comfort food with a twist, including boozy shakes and cheeky cocktails.

  • Allegra: A rooftop pool and bar offering curated cocktails, fresh beats, and scenic sunset views.

I’ll keep my eyes peeled for more information as it becomes available.

SPONSORED BY BACK DRAUGHT BREWS

Ready to turn your next event into the talk of the town?

Back Draught Brews is my buddy’s business and he puts a lot of care into it. Think of it as a giant firetruck, filled with your beverage of choice instead of water.

Whether you're planning a buzz-free bash with craft sodas, treating the kids to a magical birthday with root beer floats, or hosting an unforgettable festival with custom brews on tap, they’re here to ignite your event with something special.

From Scottsdale to beyond, they’re not just serving drinks – they’re creating memories that'll have your guests talking for months.

DATE SPOT OF THE WEEK

ZuZu

Okay, if you need a solid date night spot—go to ZuZu. It’s inside Hotel Valley Ho and has this cool retro vibe without feeling cheesy. The menu leans into upscale comfort—short rib, seasonal pastas, killer drinks—and the service is attentive without being stuffy.

I like the dining room more than the patio personally. It just feels a bit cozier and you can take in the setting way better.

PS - try the pretzel appetizer. You won’t regret it!

LOCAL BUSINESS OF THE WEEK

Slick City Action Park

This opened semi-recently and I just found out about it! If you’re looking for something fun, easy, and kid-approved, Slick City looks like a ton of fun. It’s an indoor action park packed with slides (no water, just dry slides), air courts, and climbing obstacles that’ll keep your kids entertained. Everything’s designed for high energy and max fun, but still feels super safe and well-run, which is a win for parents.

The best part? It’s inside, so when outside is boiling (any day now), you’ve still got a go-to spot for birthdays, rainy days, or just burning off weekend chaos. They’ve even got toddler-friendly zones.

Figured I’d share it here as mostly I lean into restaurants/food but think the occasional kid-friendly spot would be helpful for everyone.
