SCOTTSDALE SNAPSHOT
BOSA Kobe Hot Pot Grand Opening & Promo

Bosa Kobe Hot Pot just opened in North Scottsdale and has an amazing deal of $9.99 for all you can eat hot pot until September 30th. I haven’t been personally but based on their TikToks the food looks great!
Their new location isn’t on their website just yet but the address is 14744 N Northsight Blvd, Scottsdale, AZ 85260. I’m a big fan of hot pot so I’ll definitely make time to check it out in the next week or two despite the heat!
Largest Pickleball Facility Coming to Scottsdale

Mockup of the PURE Pickelball and Padel facility
Scottsdale is getting what's set to be the world's largest indoor pickleball and padel facility, with PURE Pickleball & Padel announcing a massive 196,726 square foot complex in the Talking Stick Entertainment District.
The state-of-the-art facility will feature 40 indoor pickleball courts, 8 padel courts, and a 1,200-seat pro arena, with a target opening date of late 2026. Wolfgang Puck Catering has signed a 10-year exclusive deal to handle all food and beverage operations, from the restaurant and rooftop bar to concessions and special events spaces.
The facility expects to host around 500,000 visits annually and plans to hold some of the largest pickleball and padel tournaments in the world, further cementing Scottsdale's reputation as a premier sports and entertainment destination. I need to start playing pickleball!
Scottsdale Tourism Helps Local Businesses Win Big

Scottsdale's tourism industry had a big year in 2024, welcoming over 11 million visitors who generated a massive $3.7 billion economic impact for the city according to this article in KTAR.
The tourist numbers increased by more than 300,000 visitors compared to 2023, with international overnight visitors alone growing by over 127,000.
Local businesses were the big winners (woooo!), capturing 55-59% of tourist retail spending, while visitor-generated tax revenues exceeded the city's tourism investment by $22.8 million. This tourism boom helped fund essential city services without putting the burden solely on residents.

LOCAL BUSINESS OF THE WEEK
Lamp Pizza

Lamp Pizza isn’t talked about enough in our heavy-hitter of a pizza scene. Husband and wife team, Lindsay and Matt Pilato have been serving classic wood-fired pizza that’s always met with high praises from people who try it since 2011! It’s on par with Pizzeria Bianco.
It got a 7.6 rating on Dave Portnoy’s One Bite Pizza Review. That may seem low to some, but if you watch the show it’s a very high score based on Portnoy’s rating scale where average pizza tends to be around a 4 or 5.

DATE SPOT OF THE WEEK
Saint Urban

Returning back to our usual dinner-date-spot from last week’s adventurous date idea with a hidden gem. You’re welcome!
Saint Urban is one of those effortlessly cool wine bars where you can actually have a conversation without shouting over loud music. Their shareable small plates and charcuterie boards are great and they have over 30 West Coast wines to choose from.
The laid back vibe makes it perfect for everything from first dates to anniversary dinners, and their daily happy hour (3-6pm) won't kill your budget. Plus, check out the Sunday sunset happy hour from 11am until the sun sets!
