REMI Scottsdale Debuts Next Week

Loving the rooftop vibes!
Remember when I wrote about The REMI Hotel opening soon? It’s set to open on July 22 (only a month late) right in the heart of the Hospitality District, and it's got Scottsdale's highest rooftop pool with great Camelback Mountain views.
They've got 161 rooms including 25 suites spread across 12 floors, plus five different dining spots ranging from elevated Japanese food to rooftop cocktails, and even VIP entry to Maya.
The whole design was done by the Rockwell Group with this modern Western vibe, and some of the loft suites actually open directly onto the pool deck which sounds pretty rad. It's part of Marriott's Autograph Collection and managed by Crescent Hotels & Resorts. I’m going to have to get a day pass to check it out!
Scottsdale Firefighters Association Hosts Charity Dinner

You know how our Scottsdale firefighters always show up when we need them? Well, it's our turn to show up for them at the 26th Annual Behind the Flames charity dinner on September 28 at Mastro's City Hall, with KTAR's Mike Broomhead hosting the whole thing.
They're honoring some pretty incredible people this year - Max Ashton who advocates for the blind and became the youngest blind person to summit Mount Kilimanjaro, Autumn Curiel who turned her tragic loss of her son Preston into a movement against teen violence, and DJ Foster, former NFL player who's now mentoring athletes at ASU.
The whole evening is about celebrating the people who protect and uplift our community, plus you get to enjoy great food at Mastro's for a good cause.
Loop 101 Raintree On-Ramp Closing for Two Months

Starting July 20th, the northbound Loop 101 on-ramp at Raintree Drive is going to be closed for about 60 days while ADOT reconstructs it as part of their $108 million Pima Freeway widening project.
If you normally use that ramp, you'll need to head down to Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard instead to get on the freeway. This is all part of that massive freeway project that started last year and should wrap up by early 2026.
IN PARTNERSHIP WITH QUANTUM RED

I've been hearing about red light therapy for years, but Quantum Red in Scottsdale finally convinced me it's not just wellness hype. People are getting better sleep, faster muscle recovery, clearer skin, and way more energy in just 10-15 minutes a day.
They've got the most affordable red light membership in Scottsdale, so you can actually try it consistently without breaking the bank, plus infrared saunas if you want the full detox experience.
Whether you're dealing with workout soreness, skin issues, or just want that mental clarity boost, this might be the easiest health upgrade you'll ever make.
PS - If you mention Scottsdale Scoop on the onboarding form you’ll get 50% off your first month!
DATE SPOT OF THE WEEK
Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art

If you want to impress your date without spending a fortune, SMoCA is that perfect sweet spot where you can wander through thought-provoking contemporary art exhibitions for just $13 (if you buy the ticket online), and nothing sparks better conversation than trying to figure out modern art together.
Right now they've got everything from international feminist art to site-specific desert installations, so you'll have plenty to talk about while taking everything in. It's the kind of date that makes you both look sophisticated and cultured and gets you up and moving instead of sitting there for an hour at dinner.

BUSINESS SPOTLIGHT OF THE WEEK
Temple of Groom

If you've been struggling to find a groomer who actually understands that your dog is basically your child, Temple of Groom in Scottsdale gets it with their gentle handling techniques and personalized approach for every pet's unique needs. Plus, can we give some kudos for their name?!
They really understand Arizona's harsh desert climate and how it affects our pets' coats and skin, handling everything from precise breed-specific cuts to de-shedding treatments for all coat types.
It's the kind of place where you know your four-legged family member is getting the same level of care you'd want for yourself!
